Dr. S. Seshadri visited IGB an independent and interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to the creation, dissemination, and application of knowledge about freshwater ecosystems. The Institute works in close partnership with the scientific community, government agencies, as well as the private sector and guarantees the development of innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges facing freshwater ecosystems and human societies. Dr. Seshadri visited the laboratory of Dr. Katrin Premka. The possibilities screening freshwater bodies for micropollutants were discussed during the visit.
As part of the visit, he also visited The LakeLab in Lake Stechlin of Brandenburg, Germany, along with Dr. Katrin. The Lakelab is a large experimental setup of the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB). where scientists study the impacts of climate change on lakes (http://www.lake-lab.de/) (In Photos: Weekly Breakfast meeting at IGB and Dr. Martina Bauchrowitz, Public Relations, IGB in the lake lab).
